Hampden Park Co-op

This is a place that Chelsie Regan, my favorite graphic designer in the whole wide world,  and I often frequent for their delicious produce and soups for lunch.  Turns out their looking for a new general manager so if you anyone’s interested, have a look.  I love the building anyhow but if you turn the corner just to the left, another sweet refurbished building comes into sight.

Renovated Fire Station

Looks like its an old refurbished fire stations turned into living residence/an office on the bottom? I didn’t want to be a creeper so I didn’t look in but it’s a wonderful piece of architecture! I would love to present an old building like this to Shea same day and work into our sweet home together. I wonder if she’d think that was too weird?

I degress, this isn’t certainly the church I’m in search of… However I did find another spiritual stop…

Saint Anthony Park Community Garden

I can totally see how some people get their spiritual release in a place like this. The flowers are beautiful, the herbs are already coming up, the tilled lush black soil looks so fertile and ready to produce a bounty of food!  I’m so excited to stop here every week or so and monitor the growth.  The tulips have had a greats start!

Gorgeous!!! God must have stepped by here recently and breathed life into this plot of land! It’s so lush!!

Midway Stadium / Saint Stadium

This certainly it but a great place none the less. A sure sign of a good time, and something I’ll miss if it moves to downtown St. Paul…

I bet the move would inject more life into lower town St. Paul, which of course would be great for the likes of Bulldog, Barrio, and Bin Wine Bar, all place I enjoy, but Midway field has an ambiance I would miss, space that is wonderful and uncomplicated… I don’t really have a horse in the race but I see the pro’s and con’s. I wonder what will happen.

Well no Church. Hopefully sometime this week.  I feel like I’m getting close though.  I think I’m going to put together my own garden this evening in my background. Anyone have any advice on how to get started on a salsa garden??

- Basketball at the Park
-Ice cream at the Grand ol’ Creamery
-Science Museum (exhibit and show)
$3 bucks a piece if you’re part of BBBS! It’s usually about $25.
-  Fly fishing and canoeing in Taylors Falls
Neither of us have done this before
-  Playing video games at his house and piggin out on junk food!!
We’re saving this for a rainy day

He likes Goosebumps, I like older classics. We’ll have to compromise (Paper Rock Scissors??)
-  Changing Oil and General Spring Tune Up
-  Go to my Sunday Softball Games
He wants to be the bat boy!
-  Batting Cages

-  Check out a police & fire depatment and get a ride in a squad/fire engine
‘little’ wants to be a cop and my college roommates are both cops.  Also have a fire fighter friend in DT St. Paul
-  St. Paul Saints Game (Baseball)
- Take a cruise in the old convertible Volkswagon beatle  to Stillwater and get ice cream
-Head up to my folks lake house for a swim and Jet ski ride

– Go to ‘little’s’ church w/ him
He really wants me to go with him, sounds like it’s pretty charismatic! I dig it!
- SCSU (alma mater) v. MN Hockey Game
We were talking fun sporting events we’ve been too and after I told him about this he was pretty excited! Obviously this one will have to wait a while.

Bigs, what do you like to do with your little’s.  Parents, any good ideas that you’ve already tested with your kids?? Always looking for cool new ideas.

The most suprising thing about this whole experience is how much it is making me get out of myself and do things I would never even think of doing and having a blast!!

“Snuggle up with a book… or a cat!!” That’s there catch phrase. Apparently they have small animals running around the bookstore!! Sounds magical!
